The type can be manual or automatic.

Automatic work orders can be generated once when triggered by an event such as a new meter or repeatedly on a time schedule.

Automatically bill when work order is completed.

Automatically activate a meter when requested

Each work order type can be associated with 'keywords' that can be used to search for occurrences of that work order.

Work Orders can be created for properties, any meter, specific meter types

Work Orders can be created for areas, as in flush a hydrant in a specific region. By using keywords in the type, you can determine what happened in an area that caused a customer to complain.

Work Orders can have only one task associated with it, or multiple tasks.

Many different criteria can be used to search for work orders.

Automatic work orders can be repeated on a time schedule.
